Scott was born in Nanaimo and has spent virtually all of his life on Vancouver Island. He graduated from Malaspina University majoring in Business Administration before starting his career as a golf professional. During his golf professional career; he did his apprenticeship at Royal Colwood Golf Club in Victoria before becoming the Head Golf Professional at Glacier Greens Golf Club. Scott took this sleepy little golf course and turned it into one of the busiest courses in Canada. Also during his time at Glacier Greens Golf Club, he was awarded the top club fitter of the year for Canada in 1998 as well as the Junior Promoter of the Year. Scott has always enjoyed being part of the community and especially giving back to the community. Scott started the Slegg Lumber Junior Golf Tour over 10 years ago which gives scholarships and aid to up and coming juniors all over North Vancouver Island. In 2005, Scott started a charity golfathon to raise funds and awareness for ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). After 2005, the BC Professional Golfers Association has become involved and there are now over 60 golf professionals across BC participating with annual funds raised now approaching $200,000.00 a year.
When Scott is not working, he enjoys golf, skiing, fly fishing and traveling. He and his wife Deb can be found enjoying the outdoors either at their home or on a local lake in their off time.
Scott’s commitment to excellence within his career do take priority and this is attested to by his clients. Having been a resident of the Comox Valley since 1992 and with his Real Estate and business experience, Scott can help you with all your Real Estate needs.
